Setting it to 1000 or something is useful on genocide runs, as battles take longer and longer to find the more enemies you kill and it gets really boring meeting the requirements. steps counter counts is always zero when you enter a battle and counts up slowly and you should hit a battle before it hits 200 or so. Life, gold, steps counter are all values of type "double" That little rant aside, I don't know for sure what is causing the memory randomization so until someone makes a script that can always find these values at runtime, trainers for this game won't be possible.įor those who want to cheat at this game, here's what you need to know: Even barring unfortunate fringe cases like mine, it's pretty shitty when devs or judgmental elitist players crap on people for playing the way they want to play. If I couldn't use cheats I wouldn't be able to play 99% of games. I have a medical issue which prevents me from playing anything that generates even a small amount of adrenaline and if I wasn't able to find the memory address for life on my own I wouldn't have been able to play. If it's the latter, it's pretty douchy TBH. I don't know if that's a consequence of some other system at play or if Toby really hates cheaters.
